The proposal provides two new bedrooms, study and bathroom to a new first floor over the existing residence. The ground floor is rationalised to provide contemporary living areas, amenities, and garden beyond.
The reconfigured ground floor provides an open plan living area with the new kitchen centred on the
|
existing recess in the plan. Existing areas at the rear of the plan are consolidated and lowered to provide a new living area with a more immediate connection to the rear garden. All external windows in the ground floor have been retained in their existing configuration to minimise cost and disruption to the existing dwelling character; exception only given to
|
the new timber door system for the living room.
A new 2 car carport is provided with rear lane access. Walls are provided to the two boundary conditions to satisfy BCA requirements for fire separation, and garage doors are provided to the lane, otherwise the structure remains open.
