EAST DARLING HARBOUR

Competition
2006
in association with Fox Johnston, Matt Gribben Architecture & 360° Landscape Architecture
An elevated terrain has been designed to create interfaces directly with the topography of Sydney to provide “on grade” connections to the new city Precinct.
A Water Reservoir is used for irrigation and general building use to supplement Sydney's Water Supply.
The Terrain is lifted at its edges or cut at its thickness to create frontages that address Hickson Road and the Waterfront Promenade respectively. The terrain accommodates infrastructure elements including water reservoirs, an associated Hydrology Interpretation centre, carparking, and light rail stop below the terrain surface.
