Welcome to Redshift’s new website…
Eventually everything connects — people, ideas, objects… the quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.Charles Eames
Welcome to our new website. We’ve spent the last couple of months working away to bring forth a newly rewritten and designed Redshift website. Our aim has been to make it more informative, more accessible and with images that are a more generous size and easier to view. We think we’ve done this but would welcome any constructive comments, positive or negative, so we can continue to improve and build upon our start.
Our objective in redesigning and rewriting the site was to not only present our projects in a more coherent and informative way but also to create a better platform for us to present more of who we are what we think as well as giving regular and more detailed updates of our news and projects. We are aiming for at least one new post to our News & Ideas section every week. These posts will include details of work in-progress where we may write about in detail the ideas behind the project and an in depth discussion of the design process for the particular project, or we may just put up some images of the design as it progresses, as drawings, models or construction photos. We will also be posting short and long essays (grand eh?) on a variety of subjects and research that is of interest to us, as well as commentary on current topics that we would like to add our voice to.
We’re also hoping that the new website will provide a forum for you to communicate with us, to ask us questions, send your comments on our posts and send us any unrelated thoughts you have that you think may be of interest to us. If you have something to contribute, please do not hesitate to add your comment to the end of this post, or any post in the future that catches your eye.
